LIGHTHOUSE GOSPEL QT
The members of the Lighthouse Gospel Quartet are committed to the Lord Jesus Christ. “Every time we tell the Gospel story, something happens to somebody. The Lord is alive and well. He has given us a gift of harmony and a story to tell,” said Dick Fankhauser, the group’s tenor.
Scott Hamilton sings lead or second tenor. Scott is a very accomplished vocalist and instrumentalist having spent most of his life in music performance and education as well as leading church music and worship. His father-in-law, Denny Bogart, sings bass and has been singing Gospel music in various groups and as a soloist for many years. Tenor Dick Fankhauser has sung in a Pacific Northwest award winning barbershop quartet as well as several other gospel quartets over the years. Dallas Fast sings baritone. He is a very talented musician having spent most of his years primarily involved in leading church music and worship. In addition, he has done a variety of vocal and instrumental work.
The original baritone, Wayne Bays, was severely injured in an accident and has moved to Scappoose, Oregon, where he and his wife Linda serve a church.
The quartet feels privileged to be messengers of the Gospel and not entertainers. They present a variety of music styles, but mainly Southern Gospel and hymn arrangements. They have sung throughout Washington, Oregon and California and have been well received in various settings and denominations. They are available for Sunday morning worship services as well as concerts on Friday, Saturday or Sunday evenings. They appear on a love-offering basis.
They really enjoy sharing our Lord, meeting the people and singing together.
